Beyond Beauty Academy will instruct the students in all phases of theory, hands on practical waxing, sanitation, as well as to develop professional work habits and attitudes necessary to acquire and maintain employment in the field as a Wax Technician. Students will learn all techniques through classroom and clinic experience. A typical day will consist of a combination of theory, practical, and clinical experiences. This course is fast-paced, giving you a lot of information in a short period of time.
Students start out as Junior Wax Technology students. Once a student has acquired 50 hours, he/she may begin performing basic services on clients. Tests are given at the end of each chapter. Students are tested on practical skills as well as theory. Tests are primarily multiple choice as it corresponds with the State Board of Cosmetology test. Theory is taught through a combination of lectures, handouts, videos, workbooks and reading. Practicals are taught through demonstrations, lectures and hands on practice.
All graduating students will satisfy the requirements for the DPOR certification. Students who have graduated will be able to sit for the state licensure exam.
Beyond Beauty Academy does not engage in any type of telecommunications activities away from its principal or main location. Beyond Beauty Academy offers its main studio and campus.
